A few years ago I was reading this book on spirituality/philosophy that was authored by a prominent New Age writer whose name I won’t say here. In the book there was a brief section about how she taught a group of (paying) people to be more psychic and to develop their psychic abilities such as clairvoyance, the ability to see spiritual energy and beings. She went on to say that she took her “class” to a restaurant one day and seated near their table was a woman who was dining alone. And this woman allegedly had several fairies surrounding her, some of which were playing around and being mischievous which made the students laugh (or rather the ones who could “see” the fairies).
I can’t tell you how hilarious I find it that a group of strangers came together to laugh at a stranger because of something they all pretended to see. Like… how do they even achieve that? Were they like, “oh ha ha, look at that fairy that just fell into the woman’s glass” and then like two of the students laughed after the fact and said “yeah I totally see that, so funny!” And don’t get me wrong, I’m all for New Age philosophy and clairvoyance and all that but, really, come on. That shit is ridiculous.
